Volunteers pitch in to spruce up the Arboretum
This energetic group of guys and gals from the U.S. Navy took time out to join Friends of the Arboretum to devote a total of 90 volunteer hours recently to spruce up the area. Their haul for the day included seven trash bags of debris and a pile of brush the size of a Humvee. They also brought in a huge load of woodchip mulch to one of the areas damaged by Hurricane Isabel.
The Chesapeake Arboretum staff and friends say a hearty Thanks!
